Products: 4 HBR Double Pinch Plate Bending Rolls

The HACO 4 roll plate bending rolls are the best solution for every sheet metal working shop. The 4 roll machines can roll thighter diameters and thinner material than the 3 roll machines because we use 2 driven rolls with pinching power for easy feeding of the material. The 4 roll machine is the easiest to use, the most versatile and quickest machine on the market today.

Why choose a 4 roll plate bending roll

There are several advantages on a 4 roll machine: We can clamp the plate lightly between the 2 center rolls during the squaring of the sheet and bring the back roll up to assist. Better pre-bend performances because we can clamp the work piece firm between the 2 center rolls during pre-bending which eliminates slipping of the work piece Smaller flat ends can be made because the work piece is firmly clamped during the pre-bend operation. This results in many cases in no extra operations before seam welding the part. Tighter diameters van be rolled than a 3 roll machine

Double Pinching Rolls

All rolls on the HACO 3HBR and 4HBR are made of high quality forged steel, induction tempered and hardened and we polish the rolls after hardening.We use planetary guides to keep a bigger surface of the plate under pressure during rolling. By doing this, we are able to roll tighter diameters than our competitors.

Bearings

We also use double spherical roller bearings for the 4 rolls in stead of bushings to eliminate bushing tolerances and friction which results in energy loss. The bearings are pre-lubricated and protected by a special washer which doesn't need any lubrication for the entire life of the machine

Planetary Guides and drives

On the left side you can see the planetary movement of the 2 side rolls and movement of the bottom roll. All rolls rotate in both directions. The planetary movement of rolls designed with a new variable geometry allows our machines to roll with minimal diameters of below 1.1 times the top roll diameter.

With these specifications, our machines perform on 30 % better on big diameters than most competitors.

The parallelism of the rolls is controlled by massive torsion bars. We eliminate parallellism problems often found on electro hydraulic and electronic systems. This system also gives you the possibility of tilting the rolls for cone work and return to the initial position in a couple of seconds.

Rolling procedure with Pre-Bend

 

The process of roll forming a sheet with a 4 roll machine: Squaring of the sheet against the front roll with the sheet lightly clamped between the 2 center rolls and supported by the back roll. Feeding the workpiece out to the pre-bend position Pre bending the first edge with the back roll. Pre bending the second edge with the front roll Rolling

Hydraulic Rolls lowering system

This system allows to bring the rolls to the lowest position also when the motor is in Emergency Mode. This system has passed the most strict CE rules

Cone Rolling

Thanks to the new technology, our machines can roll cones very easily, just like specialized machinery currently on the market. Cone forming can be used for concrete truck builders, machinery for the medical and food industry, machinery for the chemical and farming industry etc.
