MACHINE CONCEPT

 

The ALU-FLEX is a 4-axis machine equipped with a high speed spindle motor, which can mill, drill, tap and saw tubes, profiles and extrusions in aluminium, vinyl and composites.


The component is clamped on the machine bed and remains stationary whilst the gantry moves over the component.


The ALU-FLEX can be equipped with vacuum tables or special clamping options (including double clamping options)

Working on the bottom plane of the profile with angular tools.

PROFILE 3D PROGRAMMING SOFTWARE

 

Mubea Systems has developed 3D software “Profile 3D” allowing easy programming. It’s easy to program in the 3 planes all of the machining requirements such as drill, mill, tap and saw.


An optional feature is to read-in contours or pockets from a DXF or CAD-file and use this in the Profile 3D software.


An optional feature is the ability to perform time studies on work pieces.


The software can cope with nested profiles.

 

The software has its own design package including a 3D production simulation and collision control

 

 

 

 

CLAMPING OF THE COMPONENTS

 

We offer a selection of either 6, 8, 10, 12 or 16 clamps. The gantry automatically positions each clamp.

 

 

 

 

TOOL MAGAZINE

 

The machine has a rotary automatic tool changer for 12 tools.

 

The magazine travels with the gantry and retracts behind a cover during machining.

 

 

 

MAXIMUM DIMENSIONS OF THE COMPONENT

 

The ALU-FLEX takes components up to 15,700 x 550 x 200 mm when working on 5 planes.


When the underside is to be machined then the ALU-FLEX can machine profiles of 15,700 x 550 x 100 mm.


Vertical machining only is possible for 15,700 x 800 x 200 mm with vacuum or T-groove tables.

 

Standard lengths of the ALU-FLEX are 6,700 mm – 7,700 mm – 8,820 mm – 11,700 mm – 15,700 mm.

 

As an option machining in 2 working areas is possible.

 

 

 

 

 

CUTTING HEAD

 

The machine is equipped with a water-cooled spindle motor. The motor is 10 kW (S1), 12 kW (S6) and takes HSK-F63 tool holders.

 

The motor can tilt -90° à +90°.

 

The standard speed of the spindle is 22 000 rpm.

 

 

 

NC SIEMENS 810D CONTROL

 

We use the latest Siemens NC810D - PCU 50 with Celeron 1.2 Ghz processor, 256 MB Ram with 15" TFT colour screen. Standard USB connection for manually loading of MPF files.


The Profile 3D software is available on the Siemens control with 3D simulation.


An OEM screen informs the operator how to load the component.

 

We also offer a Siemens Sinumeric service contract with a validation of 1 up to 5 years.
