PROFILE-FLEX

 5-axis High speed Machining Centre

 

 

The MUBEA SYSTEMS PROFILE-FLEX is a 5-axis machine equipped with a high speed spindle motor, which can mill, drill, tap and saw tubes, profiles and extrusions in aluminium, steel, wood, vinyl and composites.

 

The component is clamped on the machine bed and remains stationary while the gantry moves over the component.

 

The PROFILE-FLEX can be equipped with vacuum tables or special clamping options.

PROFILE 3D PROGRAMMING SOFTWARE

 

Mubea Systems has developed 3D software “Profile 3D” allowing easy programming in each plane (including both ends) all of the machining requirements such as drill, mill, flow-drill, tap and saw.


An optional feature is the programming and the simulation of curved components.


An optional feature is the ability to perform time studies on work pieces.
The software can cope with nested profiles.

 

The office software has its own design package including a 3D production simulation and collision control.

 

Products: PROFILE-FLEX: CNC

 

We use the SIEMENS 840D CNC control on the Profile_flex. The control feautures a 15" color LCD display, Pentium 500MHz processor, 128 Mb ram and 3.5" floppy drive.

All servo drives for the X/Y/Z axes are Siemens AC digital servo drivers. The ballscrew motor is controlled by a Siemens vectorial invertor. A 3D graphical motion simulation of the job can be displayed before production starts.

CLAMPING OF THE COMPONENTS

 

We offer a selection of either 6, 8, 10 or 12 clamps. The gantry or 2 servo motors with belt automatically position each clamp.

 

TOOL MAGAZINE

 

 

The machine can be equipped with a pick-up magazine for 14 tools or with a chain magazine with tool change arm for 36 tools.

 

 

MAXIMUM DIMENSIONS OF THE COMPONENT

 

The PROFILE-FLEX takes components up to 6,250 x 270 x 290 mm when working on 5 planes.

 

When the underside is to be machined then the component dimensions are limited to  6,250 x 240 x 200 mm.

 

Vertical faces can be machined up to 6,250 x 800 x 290 mm. Optional; the machine can be equipped with a vacuum table.

 

CUTTING HEAD

 

The machine is equipped with a water-cooled spindle motor. The motor is 16 kW (S1), 19.6 kW (S6) and takes HSK-F63 tool holders.


The motor is on both sides supported. The motor can tilt (A-axis) between -115° / +115° and it can rotate (C-axis) between -220° / +220°.

 

The standard speed of the spindle is 22,000 rpm, with standard Cronidur bearings.

 

NC SIEMENS 840D CONTROL

 

We use the latest Siemens NC840D - PCU 50 with Celeron 1.2 Ghz processor, 256 MB Ram with 15" TFT colour screen. Standard USB connection for manually loading of MPF files.


The Profile 3D software is available on the Siemens control with 3D simulation.


An OEM screen informs the operator how to load the component.

 

We also offer a Siemens Sinumeric service contract with a validation of 1 up to 5 years.
